So who don’t like some dress-up now and then, especially if like is costumes or historic inspired outfits huh?
Anyhow I am fan of the black/white monochrome look (ha big surprise to anyone that knows me yeah right) especially if they are fancy aristocrat like, and one of my favorite place to shop for things that is The Black Canary (who I blogged back in April after I get an outfit at the clothing fair). Anyhow I’d remember this one outfit and when i was going horseback riding I decide to go check it out. Lucky is copy/mod so I could make copy of the pelvis attachment lower portion and attach a copy to the stomach so i could wear it while ride an ao pelvis attach horse.
So even though is inspired by 18th Century Navy Captain uniform I’m use it more like highwayman or calvary or like that.

Hanging out in front of waterfront dive (actually is picture of The Jaded Strumpet which closed down over a year ago).

Here is shooting a cannon in the oriental dragon pirates sim:

And on horseback:

And here is picture on a trail at sunrise, hah i mislabel as sunset when i save pix 😦

Ahaha, so friend of mine reads previous posting where I had some qipao/cheongsam mini-dresses pix and says hey what about the one you wear the one time that was super super short? LOL

Okay, so typically I wear this one with leggings (the black ones from Dernier Cri to be exact), but it does not have to be. I mean heck is show less skin than most beachwears. (haha yes in front picture those are indeed the panties showing through LOL) So back to that alleyway in Kowloon and change to this outfit 🙂 Anyhow this is from Vlintuition, and is call the vlintuition cheongsam red:

As before hair is Truth, skin is Adam n Eve, shoes are N-Core.

So LL releases new search and blogs and forum all are burn up try to figure it out from how to make it work for them (or how they going to game it if that’s a diff). Anyhow one part they mention is picks and that old search made possible gaming search by lot of resident having you listed in their picks, and how likely that might go away. Also how people use picks for different reason, seems the LL blog post was surprise that many picks entry are shout outs to friends or non-commercial uses, which is a bit creepy to me that might indicate that LL don’t use SL much anymore huh?

In regards to picks… If you are store owner and don’t got your store in your picks likely I might never find you. So most times I go to look at any store new to me is because I see someone wear something i really like and have inspect a prim and seen pick for that store in wearer profile, or have checked creator profile and looked in picks for their store. If I search likely I am search the store name exactly if I don’t see in any picks, and if it don’t show up then that’s likely end of potential visit for me.

I rarely am actually searching for anything as I got well past 35K inventory and really isn’t much I don’t already have many multiples of, what I am look for is wow factors for upgrading what I already got. Your best advertising to get me as customer is someone in world wearing your stuff. So for my demographic (if there is one for burn out semi-fashionista SL addict that maybe has more shoes than Imelda Marcos) picks for your store are very valid.

All the page one in search and even me visiting to look at your vendors is no comparison to value of me seeing others wearing or use your products and being impress enough I decide I want that too.

–ps if you must use store models, sometime that can help but don’t do very many is laggy, and please please please adjust prims on them …. Amazing how many time i see in-store models with dresses phase into floor, belts and hair and jewelry that don’t fit and so on.

So lot of names for this style of outfit: qipao, cheongsam, mandarin gown, heck my grandma called it a Suzie Wong. Anyhow all got high mandarin collar, tight form fit, and slinky fabrics. Lengths vary from floor lengths to mini’s and all got some side slit. Anyhow SL got some issues with skirt layer and stretches texture badly on long skirts so I tend to only get skirt layer if is with a short length.

So lot of creators that have these, I blog Lika Ruby numerous times before, but I got some from others so this time I show off some others.

One of my favorite is set I get from Musashi Do, called
Tender Blossoms and I show off the Silver in these pix:

So feature of this one is is jacket layer and prim center so you don’t have to use pants for glitch (been more and more of that last year or so in designs for pencil skirt and like that), and also works nice with leggings or even show off panties if you want to do that, shhh LOL.

Next is in red, from Second Wave.

Notable with this one is the high collar front but the backless design.

I also like Little Fish alot and got quite a few outfits from there, this one is called Short Cheongsam White:

And recently I get introduced to Amaris who has a nice one in plum:

And also Amaris has one as the current group gift:

I take all the shots in an alleyway at the Kowloon sim.

Shoes are from N-Core, Hair is from Truth and skin is Adam n Eve in all picture.

World Wide Interactive 24/7 Soap Opera Character

I'm just a supporting cast member to world wide interactive 24/7 soap opera called "Second Life". It's a just a game or time-waster to some, and more important than real life to some, and everyone else is in between the extremes.

I'm not a primary character in anyone else's personal soap opera story, just supporting cast. I stopped taking it serious like that years ago with older avies that had romances, ran businesses, were entertainers, were designers and builders. Now I am just wanderer vagabonding around and try to spend the inheritance my older avies left me. Lots of the time is frustratation on missing how things use to be in SL when the magic was still there for me, now is my hobby and try as i try, i cannot keep from logging in for hours and hours at a time, but I do resist temptations to let it take over my real life once again.

What I'm blogging:
Is in the end in style of a fashion blog but is not like a real "I'm a fashion blogger" nonesense thing.
I'm not all so much about finding new designer things that are out so much as finding things I like i never seen, or better track down something I saw before and didn't get and now want to get, and playing with what I got in inventory in addition to things I see when I'm out getting new things.
I'm not real fashion blogger type that like has designers drop things into inventory and say "blog this" huh, nothing like that, mostly is to go through the thousands of things I have and at least get some use out of them and maybe a few stories and like my observation on things.

Personal Pet Peeve in SL fashion trends

So, my avie is short and wide by SL standards, consequently most all prim parts need some adjustments. I hate resizer scripts (that as far as I read in blogs don't work to stop copybot anyhow), since they do all directions, and typically i need to make shorter and wider, not bigger which you cannot do with those scripts. Some designers are really cool and will send or upsell me a modify set of prims or will adjust if i send them my shape if they insist on not selling a mod version; and others tell me pound sand and say that I need to change my shape. Most designers ignore me if I make requests or they ask for a bunch extra lindens to do a fitting. The second two sets I'll never buy from again nor do I recommend, hope they are happy with the one sale.

Unless Otherwise Noted

I realize some of stuff I don't change much so unless otherwise noted the following should be presumed:

Skin: Adam n Eve – Desire t2 – make up Russet
Eyes: booN tsubura eyes lampblack
