So back for Day Two of my trek across Great Wall of SL, decide to walk for awhile since Dolly my horse is not happy with way things go yesterday for us having issues with sim crossings.
What the heck??? I cross a sim and looks like wall is just ended here. Is easy to see landscape ahead where wall is suppose to be build on but no wall.
So pull up map to check and dang sure enough wall is totally gone from view, just see the mountain ridge.
Flying outside view of end of wall, this don’t look good for further excursion huh?
So from view and from map I seen there was railroad running along side of wall so maybe i zoom over to station and catch a train north to finish the trip 🙂 I’m flexible will still be fun time riding the trains.
Looks like nice map and informations on trains, should not be a long wait huh? Ha forget to turn off interface view after map pictures and like that, oh well.
So I walk around awhile and then look at track and like Excellent a train, don’t see any car but maybe I can get ride up the tracks in engine? Anyhow I ask driver if I can get lift and like no response 😦
Maybe he is like afk or like in IM so I am patient, I spot noodle stand and some soda machine maybe get a snack and see if driver wakes up and respond in mean time.
Snack done so I take a seat at station and wait on driver to respond or maybe another train should come by before too long.

Thinking that I am not getting train ride and journey is over 😦
So all in all was very disappointing adventure, I mean seems to me I recall years ago Great Wall was nice attraction, like some big exotic plaza and thing like that were build up to it and was hope to see those things again. All those I guess went poof 😦 is sad.

I take a visit to Bare Rose to look at the new outfits and get one there called “Strings” which is I think is kind of inspired by American Southwest Indian look.
Anyhow it is all prim and takes quite awhile to get them adjusted prim by prim, but likely is still not appropriate for everywhere in SL.
And as nice as it is it is not what I really wanted to blog, but that provides the jump point for this entry and puts things in context how the inspiration to get this together happens.
So, I remember wandering around the Accessories Fair a few weeks back and get a belt that has a script that changes the stone and finally take it out and get it to fit.
Anyhow I really liked in turquoise and realized I had a few things but not so much to go with.
So I spend a few logins going all over getting different turquoise and coral pieces of jewelry and was mixing and matching. Final piece of ensemble was when I am checking a group in a friend’s profile.
I see someone in that group with interesting name, and another interesting group, and eventually get a pick from yet another profile, but I end up at mixx Ethnic Style where I get the crochet vest.
Then a shot closer up to show off the jewelry and the vest.
And final shot with the vest off to show off the necklace, which is maybe nicest piece of jewelry I got from anywhere, and has nice notecard that explains history of the style and all that.
(Bit of rant follows soooooo.. please ignore if you are in camps of the elitist “professional content creator” and dislike “amateur content creators” as my rant may offend some.)
Also last picture shows off the nice hand attached jewelry that I really love to have available, and finally lets me trash the slave bracelets which were last pieces of jewelery I was reluctantly wearing from a creator who says “people who do it for fun are dangerous to those of us who do it for a living” during commerce office hours. Being one that does some content creations from time to time for fun I kind of take that as at worst hostile or at minimum contempt looking down the nose at me and my kind. Without ability to make or modify your own things and have some fun building then SL would be just 3D chatroom like IMVU I think anyhow, and I never log into my IMVU account since I find that very boring.

So I get this jewelry set in lucky chair at Ticky Tacky, and then mix and match different pieces that i had in inventory not sure quite where it was going to go but eventually I like where it ends up.

So I like events at the Bubblegum and when I can I like to show up huh. Anyhow they have nice themes and so this one was 60’s and hippies. Well I decided to go 60’s mod, and went as go-go dancer. Anyhow couple shots of the event and then shot of the go-go outfit while I was getting some boots to go with. This also for those that like say “is nothing to do in SL no more”, just need to find places you are feeling comfortable and like that.

And finally me at sf designs where i got my boots. Actually I had boots before but I go to use this as excuse to get pair in black too and try to go with same scheme of alternate black and white like the outfit but it didn’t work so good with one black and one white boot LOL anyhow.

So I was going for casual city looking outfit for shopping and MM board slapping and put on the leggings at one point that had black with the red trim.
I think dang a red top would look nice and so I rifle inventory and find this freebie I got forever ago at Uzuri, which is interesting huh in that they are most know for skins and jewelry. Add some red shoes and all set.
Hah for this next shot is I also got observation that I’ve seen lot of stances and gestures with peace signs and so like that in SL but never one with single finger suitable for sending snapshot anti-valentine to ex types.
From that outfit I keep the jewelry and underwear, and change out the rest and very quickly am ready for a Tet and Chinese New Year look.
So this is new line from Lika Ruby with the dress, and has long and short skirts. Short one with the stockings has that Hey Sailor look huh LOL.
Anyhow the designs of outfits like a qiapo have come long way, historically in SL was always done with top or jacket and a skirt layer and of course mesh for system skirts sucks unless you are standing legs together.
Newer designs are longer jackets or pants layer for tight pencil skirt base and then central prim pieces which then don’t distort the texture like happens with system skirt.
At some point I added the prim nails to the look, I never have much luck with those or prim eyelashes but these seem better than most.

Friday Night Formal

So was edgy kind of formal event I’m going to so i figure i’d mix it up and do mini skirt with a nice tuxedo top. I get lucky when I see that the garter for stockings was in lilac and was the color of the tuxedo outfit i had so I didn’t have to buy anything to fit in. Also I really like the gloves and bracelet combo that I got at loulou & co earlier in the week for a different outfit idea that i never get around to blogging.

So the gym shorts, the top and the socks are all freebies, and the sneakers are like i think only 50L and color changable, so this is a very affordable outfit huh?
Also I like since it looks natural with the body type my avie has since she is athletic proportions with extra body width, and things like leg muscles at 90%. I do that because of the inworld hobbies Nicci Chau has, heck check my flickr for old pictures of horseback riding, scuba diving, surfing, mountain climbing, kayaking and on and on. Figured I needed an athletic avie to look right with those things so I made one.
Also one of the things I do is set body fat up around 20% and then trim individual areas like waist and such back some so that things that are suppose to be out some are there to start rather than try and puff things out.
Can get like full bust or nice shape butt with settings less than 20 that way and not look artifically inflated. Maybe is just that i’m use to it but I think you get better looking shape that way. I am sure is lot of shape makers who see different or like that but it’s what over time seems to make sense to me.

So I’m at Twilight still huh and at the deck of my friend colleen while i get outfit together and check my new dances i put in my chimera to see if they really are any good.
I like the black and white monochrome look and use that lot of times when I go out to events. So at one point earlier I’d seen old ZZ Top Video on youtube and like decided I needed to get some bobby socks and work from there to get an outfit.
After maybe half an hour I end up going to Zaara to get the vest that I had not bought like a few months ago to finish this one off.
So I take a few pics out on colleen’s deck, and then last one is me burning up dance floor at the Twilight club LOL
Sunset Horseback Ride in SL

So I haven’t been out horseback riding in a long time but I get a bunch of new outfits in lucky boards and some group gifts at Ray Skin the night before and am trying some on. Well this one I pair up with jeans and some boots and it looked like time to dig out my horse and go for a ride.
Anyhow I was checking out the islands north of Help Island, since those are lot of Linden Village areas and with so much changeover of people in Linden Lab i figure i would wander around and see if there were changes and like if there were any Linden Bears out I had never seen before.
Anyhow about three or four islands up I decide to take a picture as I am looking at Louise Linden’s place.
I got both the AO attachment and the vehicle versions of same horse, and there are advantage and disadvantage for both. the main advantage of the AO one is sim crossing and i can teleport while riding, and I was doing both so I used the AO horse. Lots of nice horses available in SL and I am not any expert advisor on SL horses, but I will say I spend more hours than I want to admit trying out all the demos, and ended up deciding I liked the Crimson Phoenix ones best for me.

I went to Luna Mall and New Port and no one was at either of them so I head over to Zindra. At Zindra only Bernard Linden shows up and was me and one other resident, well one more but he was away status and was more like statue. Ha but it was fun I get to ambush Bernard and then chit chat a bit.
